2005-04-26 - 9:10 p.m. I grew up on a country property in the Daintree, and left there 5 years ago to study law in Brisbane. After graduating at the end of 2004, and spending almost all of that year searching for a job, I am now working as an articled clerk (the two year training process necessary to be admitted as a solicitor) in a commercial law firm. I'm a pagan/pantheist, follower of goddess spirituality, feminist, environmentalist, humanist - so many labels to apply. I love to write and to read - my bookcases are overflowing, and a basket of library books, constantly replenished, sits beside them. I am very close to my family - a term which seems to encompass more and more people since my parents were divorced at the end of 2004. I never thought that encountering divorce at 23 would be so hard, but still find myself occasionally dealing with feelings of anger and betrayal. I live with my boyfriend West, however, I try to keep this written record solely about my experiences, and respect the privacy of my partner and friends. Keeping a public journal has been the only way I've been able to faithfully write a diary, and I have found the discipline to not only be vastly enjoyable, but also a valuable experience in personal growth. I value immensely the friends and minds I have met through this online community, and hope to remain writing for years to come. More labels = Sagittarius, short sighted, somewhat untidy, and an enthusiastic cook. A Beatles fan, a singer, a Reiki practioner, tactless, and optimistic.
